NOVEC Cares is your central hub for all of NOVEC's payment assistance programs and resources.
NOVEC offers resources – payment arrangements and budget billing – that are in place to proactively prevent a crisis. However, in the event of an emergency, we're here for you. Click on the options below to learn about different emergency resources available to our members, as well as how you can help your neighbors.
Through the Virginia Department of Social Services, the Virginia Energy Assistance Program (EAP) assists low-income households in meeting their immediate home energy needs. The EAP consists of four components: Fuel Assistance, Crisis Assistance, Cooling Assistance and Weatherization Assistance. Applications are accepted for energy-related emergencies from November 1 to March 15

At NOVEC, we recognize the many hardships our members face. We partner with area nonprofit organizations to help support our community and our members. If you are in need of emergency energy assistance, please click the button below to find contact information for local agencies.
Each month, we "round up" participating customers' monthly bills to the next dollar amount. Rounding up benefits your friends and neighbors by helping them pay their electricity bill with your change. If you need assistance, learn more about how to contact the charitable organizations that are a part of NOVEC's ORU program.
